An NDT UV Black Light is a very specific lamp for inspection in non-destructive testing. It produces high-intensity long-wave ultraviolet-A (UV-A) light at a very specific wavelength of 365 nanometers.
The main function of this lamp is to uncover defects that are not deeper than the surface. In the case of Magnetic Particle or Liquid Penetrant Testing, a component is treated with fluorescent materials.
