We are seeking a Site Supervisor oversees daily construction operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. They manage on-site personnel, subcontractors, and resources while enforcing quality standards, interpreting technical blueprints, and liaising with stakeholders to address issues promptly.
Key Responsibilities
Site Management & Operations: Oversee daily on-site activities, ensuring work adheres to project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce OHSA, local building codes, and company safety regulations (including proper PPE usage) to prevent accidents.
Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate subcontractors and on-site staff, including resolving on-site conflicts.
Quality Control: Inspect work in progress to ensure it meets quality standards, immediately correcting errors.
Resource Management: Track inventory, order building materials, and schedule equipment maintenance to prevent delays.
Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly progress reports for project managers, documenting site activities, labour, and materials used.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: Several years of proven experience in construction, often with a background as a, foreman, or in a related trade.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Leadership & Communication: Strong ability to lead, delegate, and communicate effectively with diverse teams.
Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve unexpected site issues quickly to maintain schedules.
Safety Certifications: CPR/First Aid certifications are typically required.
Education: Diploma , Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
Software Skills: Proficiency in project management software, mobile apps for reporting, and Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
